Here are a few things you may want to consider when you look at the requirements the boarding facility requests:

Pet BoardingVaccinations Required: It’s very important you choose a pet boarding facility that requires all of their pets be vaccinated, and that you have your pet(s) up to date on their shots. Not only do you want to know that your dog/cat couldn't catch anything that they have a vaccination for if there was an accident, but you want to know the other pet owners are as diligent as you about maintaining their pets’ health. Blue Ribbon requires current Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella for canines (that are old enough). Cats require FVRCP, Rabies and negative Leukemia test and/or vaccination.

Flea Inspection: Many boarding facilities require that the animal goes through a flea inspection before they are allowed to stay and interact with other dogs. You may want to check your animal in advance so it is not’t a problem. This also gives you peace of mind, because you know that the other pets in the building don’t have fleas.

Ribbon Temperament Test (DAYCARE STAYS ONLY): It can be difficult to know how your pet is going to react when they have the opportunity to interact with other animals they are not familiar with. The facility should require that the pet take a temperament test, where they are put in situations with other animals for extended periods of time. Not only do you want to do this to know that your pet will behave while they are there, but also that the other animals are going to be friendly. If your pet can’t get along with other pets during group play time, you may have to pay an additional fee for them to stay in a more private area. The animal is going to need additional care and special attention while it’s played with.

Day Care:

$10.50 daily.......................>
Or purchase a Value Pack for $8.50 a day for 20 days ($ 170.00), a $40 savings for pets who may need to visit more often during the work week “Play while you Stay”. Daycare is considered any pet who is dropped off at opening of the day and leaves before closing hours on that same day.

Dog daycare should be more than just a place to leave your dog when you’re unable to be with them. At Blue Ribbon Kennel, we treat your pet to fun-filled days of socializing with other dogs, interacting with our caring team, exercising and burning off plenty of pent-up energy.

Ribbon You will no longer feel guilty about not having enough time or energy to play with your dog after a long day of work because at the end of every day, you will pick up a perfectly happy (and played out) companion. Wanting to be part of a pack is deeply instinctual for dogs, that’s why we integrate open play with others into their daily routine. Regular playtime with other dogs has a number of benefits, including: Being more social around dogs and people, Staying physically fit and learning positive behavior, leading to less doggie mischief at home.

With Blue Ribbon Kennel, your furry family member will learn how to be well-balanced. We also provide our regular customers with frequent updates on their dog’s temperament, as well as advice on how to replicate our training at home.

SAFE, SUPERVISED PLAY AREAS: Our dog daycare facilities include spacious, "climate-controlled" playrooms that are fully supervised. Our playrooms are grouped by size, personality and play style to make sure your dog is safe and comfortable. Before staying with us, our team first meets with your dog to ensure they will be a good fit for our open play environment.
